Absolute truth is not the same as propositional truth, but that is what Christian theologians have done by creating systematic theology. The Bible is not a how-to book nor is it an encyclopedia to give us all we need to know about God. The Bible is a story of how God touched down on earth and chose to redeem mankind. This is more my 2 cents. Clark Pinnock in the first 2/3 of the books unweaves the mazes of Christian theology. You probably could skip this. The last 1/3 he outlines his theology and discusses the differences between narrative and propositional theology. I love this, becasue it allows for more freedom, less dogmatism, less speculation and more respect. Narrative theology allows us to approach the Bible with more respect and to be careful creating theologies based on speculations. If the Bible doesn't say it we better be careful not to put words in its mouth.

Was far too much like her other novels. Very much a recipe it seems. Trying one more to see if I like it any better.
