Kei Chih Kao Chih Kao itibaren Figuil, Cameroun
I'm only 20 pages in, but I'm loving it....now that I've finished it...a real let down. the particulars were not memorable. I couldn't remember how it ended a few days after I read it. Very disappointing. I liked the concept and the style of the book, but not the characters or the plot.
Although this book seems childish from the cover and description, I was thoroughly surprised. It is the perfect "kids book for adults." It isn't heavy literature that will make it to the classic shelves but it is a wonderfully inventive story and my only complaint is how large it is to carry in a purse. Moers has a brilliant imagination and although kids might enjoy parts of it, there are many chapters that would be far over their heads. Perfect to read in a crowded place where you can afford to be distracted but still enjoy it.
